About the series
U.S. National Science Foundation program directors from the Dynamics, Controls, and Cognition cluster will provide information on the NSF Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) program solicitation NSF 22-586 during webinars in May 2025.
The NSF CAREER program supports early-career faculty who have the potential to serve as academic role models in research and education and to lead advances in the mission of their department or organization. Activities pursued by early-career faculty should build a firm foundation for a lifetime of leadership in integrating education and research.
The NSF Division of Civil, Mechanical and Manufacturing Innovation (CMMI) Dynamics, Controls, and Cognition (DCC) cluster, in the Engineering Directorate, encompasses the following programs:
- Dynamics, Controls, and Systems Diagnostics (DCSD)
- Foundational Research in Robotics (FRR)
- Mind, Machine, and Motor Nexus (M3X)
The DCC cluster invites eligible early-career faculty to attend an upcoming informational webinar for those interested in submitting NSF CAREER proposals to any program in the DCC cluster.
The webinar dates and times are:
- Thursday, May 8, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. EDT
- Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. EDT

- Monday, May 14, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. EDT
All of these CAREER webinars will include the same briefing on the program and key solicitation requirements followed by a question-and-answer session. (Faculty who are interested will only need to attend one session.)
